Our bean bags are made to go through life with you, from movie marathons to story time. But lots of flopping and snoozing can mean your fave seat might naturally flatten and lose a bit of its original squish over time. 

Here’s what you can do to keep your icon bean bag looking brand new: 

Remember when you first unpacked your bean bag. It felt like you were sinking into a fluffy cloud. Now it’s maybe starting to lose its plushiness (lots of lounging will do that). Don’t worry, there are a few things you can do to bring it back to life and keep it feeling (and looking) like new for years to come. 

Ironing Out the Creases

When you first unbox your icon bean bag, it may have a few creases in it. This is perfectly natural and it’s because it’s been packed up nice and snug for delivery. As soon as you start to use your bean bag, the creases will soon drop out. But if you can’t wait for nature to take its course, you can always use a clothes steamer on a low setting to remove any creasing.

A Little Bit of Soap

Cleaning your bean bag is key to keeping it looking fresh. Our indoor-outdoor bean bags are made with water-resistant fabric, making them super easy to simply wipe clean. Any dirt or spills can be dealt with using a cloth dipped in warm soapy water.

For delicate fabrics such as velvet and corduroy, we recommend spot cleaning using a gentle detergent. It can be tempting, but our products don’t like the machine washing, so stay clear of popping them on a quick wash. Even a delicate cycle won’t end well. 

Shake It Off

Your bean bag can sometimes look a little lumpy and uneven which is totally normal. This is because the bead/bean (tbc) filling can shift about. A good shake and quick fluff up and it’ll bounce right back to that just-unboxed look. 

Full of Beans 

If your bean bag’s looking a little flat, it may be time for a top up. The beauty of ban bags is that you’re in control –– add more beans for more support or take a few out for sink-in softness.
