You know that feeling when you first unpack your bean bag and sink into it like a fluffy cloud? It’s the best feeling in the world, right? But over time, your beloved bean bag can start to lose its fluffiness and plushness. Don't worry, we’ll give you some tips and tricks to help keep your bean bag looking brand new.

Why Does My Bean Bag Not Look Like It Did?

Firstly, let's talk about why your bean bag may look a little different. Over time, the filling in your bean bag can become naturally compressed, through lots of love and use. Additionally, if the bead filling isn't distributed evenly throughout the product, it can cause your bean bag to look lumpy and uneven.

Cleaning

Cleaning your bean bag is key to keeping it looking fresh and new.
Veeva’s indoor-outdoor bean bags are made with water-resistant fabric, making them super easy to simply wipe clean. Any dirt or spills can be dealt with using a cloth dipped in warm soapy water. However, if you own one of icon’s velvets, corduroy, or other more delicate fabrics, we recommend using a gentle detergent, to spot cleaning when needed.
While it may be tempting, our products are not meant for machine washing. Please resist the temptation (we know it can be hard!) to simply throw them in the washing machine.

Plumping Your Bean bag

Your bean bag could be looking a little different due to the bead filling not being distributed throughout the product. Simply give it a good shake and fluff it up, and it’ll once again feel like you’ve just unboxed it!

Refills

If your bean bag has lost its fluff and plumpness, it may be time for a refill. You can completely customise your bean bag’s comfort level by adding more or fewer beans. This will help you achieve the perfect level of support for you and sink-in softness, while also keeping it looking fresh out the box again.

In summary, keeping your bean bag looking brand new is easy with a little bit of care. Regular plumping, using gentle cleaning methods, and adding in new beads, if necessary, can all help prolong the life of your favorite lounging spot. So go ahead, enjoy sinking into your comfy bean bag, and find your inner "ahhh".
