Magic Beans
You can’t have the bag without the beans. Here's how to fill it up...
You can’t have the bag without the beans. We know you'll be itching to jump right into a world of cosy comfort but before you dive in, you need to get your bad boy filled up.
It’s really easy to get that freshly-filled bean bag feeling. Follow our guides and get our top tips on making sure our simple setup goes smoothly.
To make it really easy (and not as messy), we recommend grabbing someone to give you a hand. Two pairs of hands are definitely better than one.
Unstructured bean bags
1. First things first. Unknot and divide: Person 1 should undo the knot in the netting and get ready to pour.
2. Open and fill: Person 2 flips the bean bag upside down and unzips both the outer and inner zips, pulling the inner fabric out to create a wide funnel opening. Person 1 then places the end of the bean filling net into the funnel. Slowly pour the beans in sections, allowing the beans to flow in.
Tip: Keep shaking the bean bag while pouring in the beans to make sure the filling is evenly distributed.
3. Shake and zip: When the net is empty, give the bean bag a final shake to move the beans around. Zip up both the inner and outer zips, flip your bean bag over, and finally, sit in it to plump out its shape and help the beans settle.
Our super short video shows you how it’s done.
Structured bean bags and modular sofas
3. Close and shake: Once halfway through filling, close both zips securely. Give the bean bag a shake to evenly distribute the beans inside. This will also prevent the funnel from becoming too full. Then, repeat step 2.
4. Shake and zip: When the net is empty, give the bean bag a final shake to move the beans around. Zip up both the inner and outer zips, flip your bean bag over, and finally, sit in it to plump out its shape and help the beans settle. For modular pieces, give them a shake whenever they need a plump up.

Cloud-like comfort
You can use as much or as little filling as you want to achieve the perfect level of plushness. You’re in control. Remember, the more filling, the firmer the bean bag. For maximum comfort and fullness, we recommend adding all the beans in the net. Trust us, you’ll feel like you’re on the squishiest cloud.
Adding the bounce
Over time, your bag can lose some of its plumpness which is perfectly normal. Flopping, lounging, napping, and gaming will do that. But all it needs is a top up. All you have to do is order a refill here and before you know it, your favourite seat will have had a mini makeover and be as fresh as the day it arrived.
Finally, some of our bean bags may come part-filled and in multiple boxes so don't panic if only one box arrives. The others will be winging their way to you. And don’t forget that all orders contain filling instructions but if you’re more of a visual learner, our quick How To videos on our YouTube channel show you the process, step by step.
So why don’t you fill up and flop?
